First off, I must apologize for not writing last week. I was a little pre-occupied with a wedding in Coronado Island and the last thing that was on my mind was school.
The last two weeks have been very good. We had the best day yet two weeks ago and I can safely say that I am slowly but surely finding a love for teaching. It was Wedneday before Memorial Day. From the moment my kiddos walked into my classroom they were working hard. I was so proud of their hardwork and rewarded each of them with a sticker. I realized its the little things in life for children.
Unfotunately, the quite didn't last for long. They came back to school on Thursday and were worse then they have ever been. I came to the realization that was because they didn't have school on Friday and let's be real, the day before vacation I can't focus myself. I knew that I was going out of town that weekend and thats what gave me the extra boost of energy with my students.
Last week went very well. I had training a few days last week so my class had a substitute for two days. I came back to a good report on Friday and that made me very happy. I planned a fun but educational project for Friday afternoon and with the help of my mom it went off without a hitch. My mom was shocked at how much I had my hands full, however, I'm sure my classroom is not much different then anyother second grade classrooms.
Anyway, sorry this week wasn't as interesting as others. I hope this upcoming week brings with it some funny stories to share with all of you loyal readers. Thanks again for allowing me to share with you!
